Circular Optimization of Batteries for Electric Bicycles
Innovation aligned with European regulation to reduce costs, waste, and unnecessary replacements.
Challenge
A research team had developed a non-invasive process to recover the performance of electric bicycle batteries affected by internal imbalances. The challenge for Arvor was to validate its fit within a market dominated by invasive rebuild models, define a differentiated positioning, and structure a market entry strategy focused on public fleets.
Solution
Arvor conducted a qualitative analysis of the European battery reconditioning market, identifying key players and technological gaps. A differentiated positioning based on non-invasiveness was defined, a B2B model targeting public fleets was structured, and a pilot validation and intellectual property protection roadmap was designed.
Result
The project transformed an academic solution into a defensible commercial proposal aligned with European regulation and differentiated from the dominant invasive model. The project now has a defined roadmap, business model, and clear priorities for intellectual property protection and real-environment validation.

“A differentiated positioning based on non-invasiveness was defined, a B2B model targeting public fleets was structured.”
