Clinical technology to minimize risk in bronchoscopies
A solution designed to stabilize the patient, reduce complications, and optimize resources during respiratory procedures.
Challenge
Bronchoscopy involves risks from involuntary patient movements, traditionally managed through sedation or manual support. Arvor took on the challenge of transforming this unmet clinical need into a solid technological proposal, identifying its regulatory fit, economic feasibility, and potential transfer and scaling routes.
Solution
Arvor worked closely with the clinical and technical team to redesign the device, optimizing its cost without compromising key functionalities. A viable MVP was defined, the value proposition was refined, and two business models were developed: direct sales to hospitals or integration into OEM platforms. In addition, a regulatory roadmap was drawn and potential markets beyond bronchoscopy were identified.
Result
The project concluded with a technically viable proposal and a clear commercial strategy. Manufacturing costs were reduced by 37%, market-adapted business models were defined, and interest was generated among potential industrial partners. The solution is now ready to move toward clinical validation and transfer.
